I am excited to be partnering with Gordmans for this “Family Date Night” style post that’s just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you have a family you know how challenging it can be to get a sitter and make plans when you have little ones.
We changed this year’s celebration to include the our entire little family. We are having a family date night instead! The first thing on my mind was our outfits of course. I know outfits that match exactly can be super cheesy but I found my way around that with coordinating looks.
I went to Gordmans and hit up the mens section first. I’m happy to wear any color but my husband is not! He gave me full shopping privileges for his look so I wanted to make sure that he was happy with the color choice and style. When I saw this top I knew it was right for him! Some color but not too much, interesting sleeves with a snug yet comfy fit. For his bottoms a nice dark denim jean in a straight fit was just right.
Once I knew “olive green” was the theme I was able to target that color in the boys section for Grant. I could not believe that I found a graphic that fit the color scheme, yet describes him so well! He loves to roam around and make little collections for his favorite finds in nature.
Let’s face it, girls have so many fashion options that I knew I would be able to find a look that I loved quickly. Honestly, I found the fur vest first and just had to have it because I don’t currently own one. It also fits the overall color palate. I spotted the top because of its color but I initially thought it might be too casual but putting a faux fur vest on top of anything makes it amazing! I snagged a pair of white pants to coordinate with the white in Mike and Grant’s outfit and it was such a great choice. As I headed to check out I passed by the hand bags and was immediately drawn to this purse. It’s like it was meant for our outfits!
We had such a fun time shopping for our looks a Gordmans and Grant even got himself a hooded animal blanket that he’s obsessed with now. Now we just need to figure out where we are going!!! Ha Ha!
